Established by the EU Delegation to Zimbabwe and its Member States in 2016.
The European Film Festival Zimbabwe (#EuroFilmFestZW) has become one of Zimbabwe's leading film industry events. It offers a platform for diverse and visually unique storytelling, celebrating both European and African cinema.
Over the years it has grown from a showcase of European films into a full film festival, with programming built to develop the local industry: the BIOSKOP! short film competition, masterclasses, workshops, the Input Conference and industry panels that connect Zimbabwean filmmakers with international practice.

Roberta Wagner

Roberta Wagner is an arts and cultural developer from Germany with over 15 years of experience in cultural work across Africa and Europe. She has directed the Goethe Centres in Kampala and Harare, and founded Anthouse Productions, which advises cultural organisations and artists through workshops and design strategies. She advises and coaches for Moving School and Indimaj, and runs The Beat, a music empowerment project for young people.
Alex Gwaze

Alex Gwaze is a Canon Collins Scholar, filmmaker, artist and educator, and the founder of MUD Journal, a multimedia platform for original African voices. He has lectured at Midlands State University and guest lectured at the University of Cape Town, and co-curates the European Film Festival Zimbabwe. A published writer, his artworks have been exhibited across Southern Africa.
Tatenda Kanengoni

Tatenda Kanengoni is a cultural writer and visual storyteller. A freelance journalist focused on underreported stories, she works in digital marketing for the arts, helping creatives build visibility online, and in multimedia production across film, photography and writing.
